The last few weeks have been very exciting for our pre-transition students, teachers and parents. The ‘little people’ as we call them have jumped into their phonics learning and are now ready to start Transition next year with a bang!

Using our big muscles to practice our letter formation. This will help us form our letters correctly from the start.
The little people have been practising sounding out their words and writing the sounds they hear. They needed a little bit of help with some of the sounds they haven’t learnt yet, but all did a fabulous job!
We have had a big focus on speech this term, introducing games to practice saying our phonemes and words correctly. Here Abby and Cooper are practicing ‘s’ blends such as ‘st’ and ‘sl’.
We can’t wait to show you all of our progress next year!

Great to see the pre-transition kids doing so well. It looks like they are ready for big school in 2015 – exciting! Well done guys.
I can see you Jack Larsen and Cooper. I miss you. I go to a big school next year. I had fun there and wish you were there with me. From George
